GRANNY APPLE CONTEST |

Who’s got the
best ‘Granny’ in the Town of Southington?
If you think you do, then let us know about it.
In your own words, and in your own handwriting, tell us:
1. “Why your grandmother is so special to you”, and
2. “Why you think she should be the ‘Granny Apple’ of the
Apple Harvest Festival.
A panel of judges will select the best essay, and the
winning Grandmother will be designated: “Granny Apple”
of the 40th Apple Harvest Festival
You and your Grandmother will ride in our special
‘Granny Apple’ vehicle on the day of the parade.
Contest Rules:
- Entries
must be in the child’s own handwriting
- Maximum
of 150 words
- All
entries need to be submitted by Contest Deadline: July
1, 2008
- Open to
children who are Southington residents in grades 4-5-6
