Okay all you Betty Crocker and 'wannabees,' here’s your chance to show your cooking prowess!! We're looking for the best Apple Pie in town.

Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008
Time: 9:00 am (no exceptions)
Where: Gazebo on the Town Green

Rules:

1. Pre-registration is required. There is NO registration fee.
2. Registration form provided below to download.
3. The first 75 registrants will be accepted.
4. Pre-registration deadline is: September 25th.
5. Mail registration form to (must be postmarked September 25): Apple Harvest Festival, P.O. Box 907, Southington, CT 06489
6. Pies will be judged on appearance, flavor and texture. All judges’ decisions are final.
7. Bring your pie in a disposable 8-10 inch pie tin. Also, bring a 3 x 5 index card with your recipe on it. Do not put your name on the card.
8. Pies will become the property of the Southington Apple Harvest Festival. Slices will be offered for sales to benefit a charity chosen by the Apple Harvest Festival Committee after the judging has concluded.
9. You do not have to be a Southington resident to enter.

Prizes: 1st Prize - $100, 2nd Prize - $75, 3rd Prize - $50
